Flags countries quiz is a fun and educational game that tests your knowledge of international emblems. The Dutch city of Leeuwarden, the capital of Friesland province, holds an annual contest in which contestants have to identify the flags of all member states of the European Union from a large number of actual national flags. The contestant who identifies the maximum number of state flags within a time limit, wins. In 2008, British national contestant David Stowe set a new UK record by correctly naming 72 flags. He was presented with a certificate for his achievement by Leeuwarden’s mayor at an awards ceremony organized by the city in early 2009. The most comprehensive match-the-flags game in existence is the first edition (2002-2004) of “Eenie meenie miney mo…” that consists of 1 000 questions, each with four possible answers. Which country has the only flag without any colors?

There are more than 7,000 different national flags in use today. Many countries have multiple flags, with each representing a distinct region or ethnic group within the nation. However, there are some countries that have only one flag. One such country is New Zealand. It was founded as a British colony in 1840, and adopted its current flag in 1902. This flag consists of three horizontal stripes of red, white, and blue. Each stripe stands for something. The top stripe represents the Maori people who were the first inhabitants of New Zealand. The middle stripe represents the British settlers who came later. And the bottom stripe represents the union between the two groups.
